What i love about this song is that it kind of tells us the different ways one thing can be interpreted differently in different circumstances. "Yellow" can mean happiness, warmth, bravery and love. But can ALSO mean cowardice. "I drew a line for you" means that he separated his and her lives because he lived a cowardice life and was scared to commit to her. While on the contrary "i swam across, i jumped across for you" means that when he finally stood up to his fear and wanted to be with her he did some things that were hard in order to be with her representing the bravery she gives him to try again. "Your skin, your skin and bones turn into something beautiful" means that she IS his yellow. She is his reason that he feels all these ways. She gives him love, and warmth. She gives him the bravery he needs to do difficult things. But she also gives him the fear if losing her, so he pushes her away so he doesnt - really - have to lose her. Dont think anyone is reading my rant but just wanted to share ig 💛 Edit: typo
